We care

Chevalier has always taken environmental responsibility seriously. We are committed to continuously improve our overall environmental performance and have made the environment and society part of our overall company policy. One of the ways to contribute to a better enviroment, is to comply with all current industry standards and relevant legislation. Chevalier is ISO 14001, EMAS and FSC certified. We wanted to take our environmental responsibility a few steps further though.

Chevalier developed an extensive Environmental Management System embracing all activities and measures to preserve the environment and create a better society. Meanwhile, some 80 initiatives have been successfully accomplished amongst which are energy and water saving projects, minimizing waste and the use of chemicals. "The environment, our care" has been part of our policy and company objectives since 1986.

When we review our day-to-day role we believe that there are three specific areas where we are able to make a difference. Firstly all Chevalier staff members are made fully aware of the difference they are able to make and training is offered wherever appropriate. Secondly we continuously review new technologies to see if they offer cleaner production solutions. Finally by working closely with our clients we aim to provide solutions for their work that will help reduce the impact on the environment of the printed products that we produce on their behalf.
